Summary
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is a Disney+ animated series that takes place after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Shortly after Emperor Palpatine issues order 66, or the execution of all Jedi via clone troopers, one group of clone troopers - known as the Bad Batch - ignores the order. Due to their unique mutations, they can resist the order more than their other clones and flee to join a resistance with a unique female clone known as Omega (Michelle Ang). The Bad Batch will take on various jobs to survive as mercenaries in a post-Clone Wars world. Star Wars: The Bad Batch was created by Dave Filoni, one of the current heads of the Star Wars franchise, and aired on May 4 2021. A second season has been ordered with another 16 episodes and will air on September 28 2022.
