Fans of Blue Beetle looking to rewatch the DC Extended Universe installment are in luck as Warner Bros. has announced the release date for the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD editions of the movie.

Per Collider, the Xolo Maridueña-starring superhero film will be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 31, 2023. This means Blue Beetle's physical release comes just over one month after its digital debut on Sept. 26. At the time of writing, DC fans can still head to their nearest theater to watch Blue Beetle, which has amassed over $120 million in box office receipts since Aug. 18.

In Blue Beetle, "college graduate Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab." The synopsis continues, "When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero BLUE BEETLE."

Both the digital and physical releases of Blue Beetle will come with the following special features:

  • Generations: Blue Beetle (4-part documentary): Told in distinct chapters, explore the journeys of actors and filmmakers bringing “Blue Beetle” to the big screen for the first time ever. Audiences will be immersed in the POV of filmmakers who showcase their experiences on set and in their creative studios making the story of this DC character a reality.
  • Nana Knows Best (featurette): Witness Nana's transformation from an adorable 'abuelita' into a machine gun-wielding revolutionary, and stop in for a few of her most fun moments on set throughout production.
  • Scarab Vision (two-part featurette): Xolo Maridueña hosts this series of scene study walk throughs that showcase how the scarab works and the role it plays in some of Blue Beetle's most epic moments.

DC Begins Marketing Aquaman 2

Blue Beetle was the third DCEU movie released by Warner Bros. in 2023 after Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash. With Blue Beetle arriving on home platforms, WB and DC have turned their attention to marketing the fourth and final DCEU installment of 2023: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The upcoming superhero sequel finds Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry/Aquaman teaming up with his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) to stop Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) from destroying his family and Atlantis. The Lost Kingdom, directed by James Wan, hits theaters in December.

Blue Beetle is currently playing in theaters. The superhero movie arrives on digital platforms on Sept. 26, and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 31.
