Ubisoft has finally revealed the system requirements for Assassin's Creed Mirage on PC.

Assassin's Creed Mirage launches next month for all current-gen platforms, and with it, Ubisoft has promised a return to form for longtime franchise fans, opting for a more grounded, linear take on the usual formula and a much smaller map to account for the increased focus on parkour and stealth. Having scaled down practically everything significantly compared to the previous entry, Valhalla, which was the series' largest in terms of map density and graphics, Mirage's minimum demands for PC are smaller than fans may expect.

To play on the lowest possible settings, which would have the game run at native 30 frames per second at 1080p resolution, players will need 8 gigabytes of RAM, an Intel Core i7-4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 central processing unit and at least an Intel A380, NVIDIA GeForce 1060 or the run-of-the-mill AMD Radeon 570 series graphics card. These models range from a few years to half a decade old and may see some strain depending on the player's PC build, but any combination of these parts will run the game at a relatively consistent frame rate.

As for the higher settings, both of which will run at 60 frames per second, players have more choices depending on whether they are capable of rendering graphics in 2K resolution. With 2K, Ubisoft recommends an Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, a higher model of Intel Arc GPU with the 770, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, all of which should be the 8GB models. Without 2K rendering, these specs effectively fall by one model, with each element requiring each company's equivalent parts that don't have 2K support.

The game's highest setting, ultra, which will give the highest possible graphical fidelity and texture quality, as well as ray-tracing, things get a lot more expensive, as it recommends either an AMD RX 6900 graphics card or the highly-sought after NVIDIA GeForce 3080, both of which retail for nearly a thousand dollars from online sellers. For the CPU, ultra mode will require either the Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and 16GB of RAM.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Is Coming to Consoles on Same Day as PC Release

Even for a scaled-down title like Mirage, these specs are only a bit more lenient than most other modern AAA titles, though they vastly undershoot the requirements of some of the bigger releases this year, like the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion and its major overhaul that could reportedly melt outdated CPUs without proper cooling. Luckily, the game is also releasing on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the same day, so players without the resources to own a high-end gaming PC can still enjoy Assassin's Creed's major throwback title when it releases on Oct. 5.
