Hulu invites New Yorkers to join an Only Murders in the Building murder mystery interactive investigation.

Fans of the hit comedy-murder series Only Murders in the Building can now immersive themselves in the United Palace Theater, a central location during Season 3's murder mystery. On the show, the trio, which includes Steven Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, find themselves once again investigating a murder at the Goosebury Theater where Ben Glenroy (played by Paul Rudd), a Hollywood Action star, has been killed. Ben's colleague Loretta (played by Meryl Streep) is the primary suspect. However, a popular misdirect trope could reveal a shocking twist that reveals the true killer.

Guests will be tasked with a personal crime scene investigation based on the show. Props and costumes from Season 3 will be on display as evidence for guests' investigations. "I am thrilled that our Only Murders fans will get to see the 'Death Rattle Dazzle' costumes in an up close and personal way at this event," says Costume designer Dana Covarrubias, whose influences for characters' costumes come from iconic mystery films from Alfred Hitchcock and his longtime costume designer Edith Head. "My team and I worked for six months creating these costumes along with many local New York craftspeople including milliners, shoemakers, Broadway costume houses, custom glove makers, and mascot builders. This is a rare opportunity to see the beauty (and sparkle!) of everyone’s work up close.”

Production designer Patrick Howe is excited for fans of the latest season to come and explore the historic building that is "a tribute to theater arts." Howe said, "It was so rewarding to design the settings for the show within the show that takes place on this stage. My gifted art department brought the Goosebury Theater to life in three different eras: The 1920s with a set for Ashes to Ashes, the 1960s with scenery for the musical No Strings, and the 2023 premiere of the musical Death Rattle Dazzle. It was a delight to design full-scale Broadway sets revealed in Episode 10 for three different amazing production numbers, creating the murder mystery environment of the Nova Scotia lighthouse along with fully realized costumes, hair, makeup, and lighting.”
